About Me

 I was determined to pursue my creative energies from an early age. My mother read faerie tales to me and encouraged me to illustrate them. I have been painting in some form or another since before grade school. Over the years, I have worked in many different art forms and mixed media. While painting in a variety of mediums, such as acrylic and watercolor, the smell of fresh oil paint is the most exciting and takes first place! Any surface that accepts paint will fall prey to my brush. Wood and fabric are among my favorites 

as well as a traditional canvas. 

Recently, I’ve been exploring alcohol inks and found object sculptures. My jewelry is an extension of my art focusing on historical design and color. Many of the faerie and nature themed jewelry pieces have been embellished with paint as well. My inspiration comes from turn of the century fantasy literature and the natural world. Shell collecting on the beach is a favorite pastime and the finds are used in my sculptural artwork. I always look forward to participating in the many Faerie Festivals in the area, sharing my artwork and 

interacting with fellow enthusiasts.
